MXM Titan Ruins Ranked Preseason released

The Ranked Mode that many players have been waiting for has been released in MXM. After the regular maintenance on July 19 (PDT), the Ranked Preseason has been updated in MXM. It is currently available only in Titan Ruins, and season 1 begins on August 16.

In order to participate in the mode, your account level must be over 40, and you must possess more than 12 Masters, and the Masters in rotation count towards that total. Ranked Mode is only available via Solo or Duo Queue, and a party with more than 3 members is not eligible to play in Ranked Mode. Moreover, the mode is only available to play from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM (PDT) in the NA server, and from 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM in the EU server.

In celebration of Ranked Mode’s release, all players who participate in 5 ranked Titan Ruins games during the preseason will be provided with a Rare Style Token. Moreover, the top 100 players will receive X-Coins that are worth $5USD to $25USD. The rewards will be sent to players at the end of the preseason.

MXM’s Ranked Mode has a tier score system. Your results in ranked will be reflected in your tier score, and this represents each player’s skill level. The system is used for fair matching between players with similar skills.

There are 7 tiers in MXM; Bronze for players in the top 80~100%, Silver for 60~80%, Gold for 40~60%, Platinum for 20~40%, Expert for 2~20%, and Master for the top 2%. Grandmaster is the highest tier in MXM and includes the top 100 players.

The first 5 games in Ranked Mode are considered placement matches, and they decide which tier you will start the season from. Your tier is selected from Bronze to Platinum depending on the placement results, and the results of later games determine your tier movement. Winning against more skilled opponents will cause you to rise faster, and losing against more skilled opponents will cause you to fall slower.

The tier score represents a player’s current skill level, which affects MMR. Each tier consists of 300 points in total. The point starts from 100 in the tier you are promoted to, and 200 in the tier you are demoted to.
