Netmarble announced on the 30th that it has updated its action game 'Solo Leveling: Arise' with the addition of a new Inheritor, 'Shadow Master Sung Jinwoo.'

The newly added 'Shadow Master Sung Jinwoo' is a dark-attribute Inheritor. His combat style features coordinated attacks with shadows, reflecting his awakening as the Shadow Master. While maintaining the original Sung Jinwoo's action style, this version adds distinct combat animations. His skills include 'Mirage Blade,' 'Abyss Fang,' and 'Sovereign Doom.'

In particular, to celebrate the release of 'Shadow Monarch Sung Jinwoo,' an event is underway where anyone can obtain the character by completing in-game missions, and they will be available through standard recruitment thereafter.

Additionally, the update introduces a new SSR hunter, 'Jung Ye-rim,' and her exclusive weapon, 'Seal of Radiance,' while increasing the maximum level for Sung Jinwoo to 160. New content includes the 'Shadow Master: Suppressor' job advancement, a revamped 'Workshop of Brilliant Light,' and new story chapters 11 and 12. A variety of other events, such as 'Midsummer Mermaid Commotion!', are also being held.

'Solo Leveling: Arise' is the first game based on the 'Solo Leveling' IP, having reached 60 million cumulative global users and winning the Grand Prize at the 2024 Korea Game Awards.
