'LS' Nick De Cesare has joined T1.

He joins the organization as a player. On June 19, T1 announced via its official social media channels that LS had joined its Riftbound team, introducing him as a TCG player. LS is the first player T1 has signed for the Riftbound discipline.

'Riftbound' is a trading card game (TCG) based on Riot Games' 'League of Legends.' The game aligns with LS' background; before he was involved in 'League of Legends,' he began his competitive gaming career with TCGs like 'Magic: The Gathering' and 'Yu-Gi-Oh!.' Shortly after the announcement, he posted on his social media that he has plans in the works regarding Riftbound.

LS has a history with T1, though his initial path to joining was not smooth. In November 2020, an internal team messenger screen was accidentally revealed during a broadcast by a T1 player, exposing plans to hire 'Polt' Choi Seong-hun as head coach and LS as a coach. Domestic fans protested, citing concerns over their coaching experience and LS' past conduct. The controversy was eventually settled after T1 CEO Joe Marsh issued an apology.

Following that, LS served as a global commentator for the LCK. He left the team at the end of 2021 to become the head coach of Cloud9, but was dismissed less than three months into his tenure, after which he worked with FlyQuest.

The competitive scene for Riftbound is still in its early stages, currently expanding through regional offline tournaments. T1 has not yet disclosed specific operational plans, such as which tournaments LS will compete in or whether they intend to expand the roster.

The game's domestic foundation will be established in September, when Riot Games releases the Korean version, 'Riftbound: Origins'.
