Global game developer Lightcore Games announced on the 10th that it has launched a massive July summer update for its retro pixel idle mobile RPG, 'Song of the Wanderer: Dot Idle RPG.' The update introduces the new PVP 'Champion Cup' content, a new SSR hero named Groa, and a variety of events.

The highlight of this update is the 'Champion Cup,' the first cross-server PVP content since the game's launch. Held monthly, the Champion Cup is open to any user who has had their server open for at least 21 days and has cleared at least stage 500 of the main campaign. It allows top adventurers representing their respective servers to compete for the title of the best across server boundaries.

The tournament proceeds in stages, from registration to qualifiers, semifinals, and the final. Participants must strategically organize three independent teams to compete. The ultimate winner will receive the limited 'Champion Crown Valkyrie' costume, while the top three finishers will earn season-limited titles and the honor of having their nicknames recorded on a special all-server page. Even those not participating directly can use daily coins to predict match outcomes and earn various rewards.

A new SSR-grade Dark-attribute Priest, Groa, has also joined the roster. Known as the 'Prophet of the Underworld,' Groa is a strategic supporter who combines debuff abilities—such as reducing enemy SP to disrupt skill usage and applying poison effects—with support capabilities that heal low-health allies and provide SP.

Additionally, Groa is expected to excel in both PvE and PVP, thanks to her ability to remove enemy buffs, reduce damage with 'Loss of Fighting Spirit,' protect allies with 'Stealth,' and revive once upon being incapacitated. Groa can be obtained for free simply by logging in and participating in the limited-time 'Dreamscape Psalm' event running alongside the update.

New limited-edition costumes for Groa and other popular heroes will also be released sequentially. Upon reaching Tier 15, players can unlock Groa's 'Elegance in a Dream' costume, themed around the Virgin constellation and a witch's peaceful rest. Other new costumes with diverse concepts will be added to enhance the fun of collecting, including Eir's 'Nap with Cats,' featuring a relaxing time with kittens; Tyr's 'Midday Silence,' capturing a moment of rest; and Evelyn's 'Frenzy Feast,' expressing a bold charm.

The 'Dreamscape Psalm' event, held alongside the massive update, offers a variety of content. Players can look forward to the 'Candy Cottage,' which provides rewards based on the number of Groa summons; the 'Wish Puzzle,' where players collect puzzle pieces through missions to unlock limited costumes and hidden stories; and the 'Skyland Journey' board game, where players roll dice to explore a world above the clouds. Furthermore, players can earn abundant rewards through additional events such as the 'Trial of Illusions,' where they challenge three phantoms for unique rewards, and the 'Slime Jump' minigame, which offers limited profile icons through simple controls.
