The game culture festival 'GXG2026' will be held in Seongnam this coming September, running for two days from September 11 to September 12 on the first floor of the Pangyo Tech-One Tower. Kim Jun-ho, a director at the Korea Mobile Game Association, stated that the core objective of this year's GXG2026 is to go beyond a simple exhibition and create a platform where small and medium-sized indie developers can showcase 'K-Indie games' that possess true self-sustainability.

Director Kim reviewed the history of IndieCraft and emphasized that the collaborations in 2024 and 2025 led to significant qualitative growth. He noted that the event achieved its largest scale to date with 412 participating developers and attracted 40k visitors. He also highlighted successful collaborations with various indie hits such as 'SANABI,' 'Devil Within: Satgat,' 'Motesolo,' and 'Arcana Tactics,' adding that they plan to discover and provide full-scale support for talented indie games through the upcoming GXG2026 partnership.

Director Kim explained, "The offline exhibition space linked with GXG will not only be a place to showcase games but also a competitive arena where top domestic indie developers are awarded prizes." He shared that through a collaboration with 'Pleaders,' a company specializing in Focus Group Testing (FGT), a professional evaluation panel will visit each booth to play the games on-site, ask in-depth questions to developers, and conduct detailed evaluations based on a 100-point scale.
According to Director Kim, the final selection for the domestic category will award ₩40 million for the Grand Prize, ₩10 million for the Top Excellence Award, and ₩5 million for the Excellence Award to one company each, with the prize money available for developers to use freely for labor or marketing costs. He added that the Challenger category will receive support in the form of scholarships, with ₩2 million for the Top Excellence Award, ₩1 million for the Excellence Award, and ₩500k for the 'Level up' Award.

Furthermore, IndieCraft announced plans to hold online and offline lectures in July in partnership with 'Developket,' an educational institution that trains 400 students annually. In August, they will participate in Germany's 'Gamescom,' Europe's largest game show, to conduct global promotion targeting international investors and publishers. As mentioned, they will participate in GXG2026 in September to host export consultation meetings and discover new K-Indie games.
