On June 4, EA Sports released the '2026 Season Pack,' a major DLC for the racing game F1 25 that incorporates the full 2026 season regulations, cars, teams, and driver lineups. This pack was released in lieu of a standalone new title, following EA's announcement in November that it would focus on a completely new game for 2027. While it serves as a bridge to fill the gap, it is considered highly accessible, as existing F1 25 owners can expand their game immediately for ₩28k.
The ability to enjoy a new season at half the price, along with gameplay faithful to the new regulations and updated lineups, has been well-received. However, there has also been mixed feedback regarding custom team and save data transfers, as well as the regulations themselves. Consequently, the game's Steam rating is currently 'Mixed.'
Despite these reviews, the game's popularity is at an all-time high. In terms of sales-based popularity rankings, the F1 25 edition bundled with the season pack is currently 3rd globally, while the season pack itself is 5th. This popularity isn't limited to overseas markets. While many recent major games have seen their domestic sales rankings align with global ones, F1 25 is enjoying the same level of success in Korea, ranking 2nd in popularity and 5th for the season pack. While this is partly due to a surge in sales on the day of release, it is a ranking that even surpasses popular titles like Forza Horizon 6 in the domestic market.
Although F1 was once considered a niche sport in Korea, it has become a major hit thanks to Coupang Play's broadcasts, the Netflix documentary, and the success of the Apple film 'F1.' Furthermore, with the official streaming service F1 TV launching in Korea this year, Formula 1 is clearly seeing the potential for growth in the domestic market. This interest appears to have translated directly into game sales.

■ Sales Ranking | F1 25 sales surge with the release of the 2026 Season Pack

'Crimson Desert' has surpassed 6 million units in global cumulative sales. Since it hit 5 million sales on April 15, that's an additional 1 million units sold in about two months. While AAA games typically see sales concentrated at launch, Pearl Abyss' ability to sell another million units over two months suggests that, like other global hits, it could maintain a long-term sales trajectory through further updates and discount events.

'Eternal Return' climbed to No. 1 in domestic popularity following the 11.4 update on the 11st. The popularity ranking is based on revenue, which includes both game sales and in-app purchases. Much like how Blue Archive and Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel reached No. 1 in revenue following updates, it appears that user interest in new content has translated into actual sales.

■ Release | No Rest for the Wicked

About two years after its initial Steam Early Access launch in April 2024, Moon Studios' dark fantasy action RPG 'No Rest for the Wicked' has been confirmed for a full release. It will launch first on PC and PS5 this October, and it's not just a simple full-release label; it includes a massive content expansion providing 60 hours of gameplay. This includes new modes, additional weapons, new regions, a redesigned class and progression system, and the final chapter of the story.
■ Update | Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

The Year 11 Season 2 update for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, 'Operation System Override,' has been performing well since its release on the 3rd. Because it includes not only content like new maps and operator reworks but also adjustments to matchmaking rules and reward acquisition methods, this season is classified as more than just a content drop. Notably, the game has maintained around 110k concurrent players on Steam since the update, showing its strength as a long-running hit, especially considering it already had 70k to 80k concurrent players before the season began.
