Kang "TheShy" Seong-rok announced that he was a free agent.
On Nov. 18, TheShy announced via his Youtube community that his contract with IG has officially ended and stated, "My negotiations with Invictus Gaming are looking positive. I'll make sure to be a player that improves even further in 2022."
Joining IG on May 2017, TheShy has been an integral part of IG alongside IG's mid laner, Song "Rookie" Eui-jin. Armed with a playstyle that completely shuts out his enemies through his unmatched micro, he became a world champion in 2018. However, due to decline in performance, the team struggled to find their footing since 2020, eventually failing to make it to Worlds two years in a row.
