Tyson "TenZ" Ngo will be replacing the suspended Jay "sinatraa" Won on the Sentinels VALORANT roster for this weekend's VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) NA Masters 1 tournament. TenZ previously competed for Cloud9 Blue's pro VALORANT team from April of 2020 until January of 2021, when he transitioned to streaming for Cloud9 Blue instead.

The Sentinels requested and were granted an exception to Riot's roster lock period in order to bring TenZ onto their VALORANT roster for this weekend's competition. Riot approved the exception, given the circumstances surrounding sinatraa's suspension. While Riot approved the acquisition, under rule 2.3 of their global competition policy the Sentinels were still forced to acquire all rights to TenZ from Cloud9 Blue.

sinatraa is currently under suspension from the Sentinels and Riot Games, pending the results of investigations from both organizations into accusations of sexual assault and abuse that were made by sinatraa's ex-girlfriend Cleo "Cle0h" Hernandez on Tuesday evening in a detailed 9-page statement.

The VCT NA Masters One kicks off today and will run through Sunday, March 21st. The double-elimination tournament is set to feature the best VALORANT teams in North America, including Gen.G, FaZe Clan, 100 Thieves, and Immortals, among others. You can watch the event on the Valorant Esports NA Twitch channel
