14 new Legends of Runeterra champions might've just leaked via uncovered audio files. Dataminer and community figure SkinSpotlights unearthed new voice lines from the latest Runeterra patch and published his findings Thursday, giving fans a taste of what will come with the Empire of the Ascended set, due this March.

According to SkinSpotlights, the 14 new Legends of Runeterra champions coming are:

  • Azir
  • Ekko
  • Irelia
  • Jarvan IV
  • Kindred
  • Lissandra
  • Malphite
  • Nasus
  • Pyke
  • Renekton
  • Sivir
  • Taliyah
  • Zilean

The majority of those should not come as a surprise. During their 2021 Opening Day stream in January, Riot Games announced not only the Empires of the Ascended set, but also LoR's ninth region, Shurima. From that list, Azir, Nasus, Renekton, Sivir, and Taliyah are all from Shurima, and even Zilean might be too, as it's unlikely Riot will consider launching Icathia — Zilean's homeland and Shurima border town in the Runeterra universe — as a separate region.

Alongside the new set, Legends of Runeterra will get the so-called "Champion Mastery" — a way for players to earn cosmetics for their champions, based on how often they play, and win with them. Starting with March, LoR will have a busy spring, as the roadmap includes the Guardians of the Ancient and Rise of the Underworlds expansions in May and June, respectively.

Most recently, Legends of Runeterra got a massive patch 2.1, ushering the Lunar Celebration event and changes to 11 cards. A day later, a new champion, Aphelios, was also introduced.
