Off-season roster shuffles are happening all around the world, and the 2020 World champions are also making big changes for their next season. Via their official Twitter, DAMWON Gaming announced their coaches’ departure, Yang “Daeny” Dae-in and Kim “Zefa” Jae-min. They’ve also announced that Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun will be joining the team as the newest head coach for their League of Legends team.

On the departure of Daeny and Zefa, the organization commented, “Per their request, we’ve decided to terminate our contracts with Daeny and Zefa. We’d like to express our gratitude to both of them for their dedication to DWG in 2020.”

The newest head coach for DWG, kkOma, has built an incredible legacy. As a founding member of SKT T1 in 2013, he led the team to win the World Championship in the same year alongside Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok. He led the team to two more Worlds titles in 2015 and 2016, thus creating one of the greatest professional teams in the history of LoL Esports.

He departed from SKT in 2019, and headed to the LPL to lead Vici Gaming. He then left VG in September of this year due to personal reasons, and will be making his return to the LCK alongside DWG as the newest head coach for the team.
