After the Week 3 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split games, 100 Thieves Jungler, William "Meteos" Hartman, tweeted out that he was being benched from the starting squad. 100 Thieves is currently tied for 8th place with Immortals with a 1-5 record. This is the first roster change they have made so far this year. Juan "Contractz" Garcia is currently the Academy Jungler, and is expected to start for the team, though no official announcements have been made yet.

Last time Meteos played for 100 Thieves, he was removed from the starting squad after the third week of the Summer Split, traded to FlyQuest Academy for Andy "AnDa" Hoang who played the rest of the season with the team. Meteos' tweet does not mention any other changes in the roster, but 100 Thieves has not made an official announcement yet. Inven Global will update this story upon further information.

Meteos later tweeted out other players on the team did not know about the situation regarding his benching, nor did they agree that he should be benched. That tweet was later deleted, but can be seen below.

UPDATED 6/28: 100 Thieves tweeted out that Academy Jungler, Contractz, and Support, Philippe "Poome" Lavoie-Giguere, would be moving into the LCS positions going forward, replacing Meteos and William "Stunt" Chen respectively. 100 Thieves and GM Chris "Papa Smithy" Smith will release more information on their reasoning tomorrow, Monday, June 29th.

UPDATED 6/29: 100 Thieves has released a video of GM, PapaSmithy, explaining their decision around making two roster changes going into Week 4 of the LCS. PapaSmithy claims to have spoken with Meteos about "multiple different scenarios," including a 6-man roster, Academy, other opportunities at 100 Thieves, or leaving the org entirely. "Any opportunities around 100 Thieves or elsewhere are all on the table [for Meteos]."

For Stunt, they simply said they wanted to find him the perfect home in the LCS, hinting at his potential departure. In addition to Poome, 100 Thieves Academy also has Brindon "Breezyyy" Keesey in the support position, meaning Stunt is not needed to fill in Academy despite Poome's departure.

UPDATE 6/29: Stunt has confirmed that he has been removed from the team, posting his thoughts on TwitLonger
