Cloud9 came out in full force in week 8 of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Academy League Spring Split, seemingly not missing a beat despite a week off in its victory over 100 Thieves. In securing its 9th straight victory of the split, C9 Academy moved to 11-4 and qualified for the 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs.

C9 has been one of the most aggressive teams in the Academy League, and its win over 100 Thieves was no different. Jungler Rami "Inori" Charagh set the breakneck pace of the game on Elise and got Mid Laner Cristian "Palafox" Palafox's Qiyana ahead early with a double kill in the mid lane.

Cloud9 Academy is the first team to qualify for the post-season in the Academy League. Its surging win streak brought it level at the top of the standings with Dignitas Academy, who will also qualify for the post-season should it triumph over Counter Logic Gaming Academy in its next match.
