Ghost joins DAMWON Gaming, to be eligible to play from Round 2

Ghost has joined DAMWON Gaming.

On the 24th (KST), DAMWON Gaming announced through their official Twitter account that they’ve signed Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun. Ghost will be eligible to play starting from Round 2 of the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split.

Ghost started his professional League of Legends career in 2015 in CJ Entus. He later moved to bbq Olivers, but the team was relegated to Challengers Korea. Ghost’s next team was SANDBOX Gaming where he reached the playoffs in both spring and summer seasons during 2019. After his contract expired, Ghost had been taking a short break, but as of today, he will be back in the LCK.

DAMWON Gaming had a great 2019. They had a great run in the first season that they were promoted and even reached the quarterfinals of the World Championship. However, DAMWON’s spring split hasn’t been going as well as they hoped. By signing Ghost, they will have another card to use in their bot lane starting in Round 2. Meanwhile, DAMWON Gaming parted ways with head coach Kim "Micro" Mok-kyoung earlier this day. Coach Lee "Zefa" Jae-min will serve as interim head coach.
