Gen.G secured a clean 2-0 victory over Hanwha Life Esports (HLE) in their 2026 LCK regular season Round 2 match at LoL PARK on the 29th, finishing their regular season run with a 14-4 record.

In Game 1, Chovy’s Ryze took firm control of the lane against Romer’s Taliyah from the start. Gen.G also drew first blood in the bottom lane, and Ryze later roamed to the top lane to take down Casting’s Yorick. While HLE managed to secure two Dragon stacks, Gen.G pulled ahead by consistently picking up kills.

Desperate to keep their Dragon streak alive, HLE Brion managed to steal the third Dragon, but they lost most of their team in the process, and by the 20-minute mark, the gold gap had widened to 6k. As Gen.G began to dominate the jungle, HLE Brion attempted to contest the next Dragon instead of conceding it, only to be wiped out by Gen.G’s overwhelming force.

After securing the Dragon and then Baron, Gen.G pushed aggressively, destroying HLE Brion’s Nexus in 29 minutes to take the win.

In the following second game, Canyon’s Jarvan ganked the top lane to take down Casting’s Sion, while HLE responded by catching Ruler’s Ziggs in the bottom lane. HLE managed to keep pace with Gen.G’s tempo by finding kills in the bottom lane.

The tense balance between the two teams finally broke during a mid-lane skirmish. Gen.G’s superior coordination led to a decisive team fight victory, blowing the game wide open. Gen.G then went on to win the subsequent fight for the next Dragon.

Looking to overcome their deficit, HLE attempted to force a fight in the mid lane targeting Ziggs. However, Ruler’s Ziggs responded calmly, and with Duro’s Nautilus joining the fray to disrupt the opponents, Gen.G once again came out on top. Continuing to snowball their lead, Gen.G secured Baron and extended their gold lead to over 15k. Giving their opponents no room to breathe, Gen.G closed out the series 2-0, concluding their Round 2 schedule with a 14-4 record.
