Sega will conduct a Closed Network Test (CNT) in September for its upcoming title, 'Crazy Taxi: World Tour.' This test aims to verify server stability and gameplay ahead of the official launch. Applications are open until 3:59 PM (KST) on September 1. The test will run for approximately 48 hours, from 9:00 AM (KST) on September 12 to 9:00 AM (KST) on September 14.

This test offers a first look at the game's core feature: a 8-player competitive multiplayer mode. Participants will compete against others to pick up passengers and reach destinations as quickly as possible. Players can also freely explore the expansive 'West Coast' open world and encounter various missions and events along the way. Through this test, Sega plans to comprehensively evaluate the multiplayer environment, network stability, and user feedback.

The test is open to PC (Steam) users. To participate, users must create a Sega account, link it to their Steam account, and apply via the official website. If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity, participants will be selected via a lottery, and winners will be notified via email. Please note that test data will not carry over to the official release, and as this is a work-in-progress build, some content and balance may change before launch.

System requirements have also been released. The minimum requirements include an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2,600, a GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or Radeon RX 5,700, and 16GB of RAM. Recommended specifications are an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, a GeForce RTX 3060 or Radeon RX 6700 XT, and 32GB of RAM. An SSD is recommended for storage, and a stable internet connection is required to participate in the test.

Sega stated that participants are free to share screenshots and gameplay footage from the test version. However, distributing the test client itself or leaking information obtained through data mining is strictly prohibited. The company added that unexpected server checks or emergency maintenance may occur during the test period, and the schedule remains subject to change depending on circumstances.

'Crazy Taxi: World Tour' is a modern reimagining of Sega's classic arcade racing series. It builds upon the original gameplay of delivering passengers to their destinations within a time limit, while adding large-scale urban environments and online multiplayer elements. This closed network test will be the first opportunity for domestic users to experience the new multiplayer system.
