On the 20th, Warhorse Studios revealed two new titles currently under development via its SNS X. One was an open-world RPG set in Middle-earth of The Lord of the Rings, and the other was 'Kingdom Come Adventures,' a sequel to the 'Kingdom Come' IP. Subsequently, speculation regarding the true nature of 'Kingdom Come Adventures' ensued. Some suggested it would be a video adaptation project, such as a movie or TV series, while others predicted it would be a spin-off featuring a character other than the protagonist, Henry. Then, Warhorse Studios made an additional announcement regarding 'Kingdom Come Adventures' via a community live stream. At this event, Communications Director Tobias Stolz-Zwilling clarified that the new project is "clearly an open-world RPG." He explained that Warhorse's signature immersive design, living world, and strong narrative-driven structure would also be maintained. However, it has not yet been revealed whether the title will be the official sequel, ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3’. Instead, Community Manager Tom Grey described the project as “one of two official games” currently under development. The development structure was also partially revealed. Prokop Jirsa, the lead designer of ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2’, will lead the next ‘Kingdom Come’ team, while Viktor Bocan will lead the development of the ‘Middle-earth’ RPG. Daniel Vávra, a key figure in the series, is reportedly currently focusing on the ‘Kingdom Come’ film and video adaptation projects. He emphasized that fans would not have to wait as long as before. Although there was a gap of about seven years between ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance’ and ‘Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2,’ it was announced that ‘Kingdom Come Adventures’ will be coming to gamers in the ‘next fiscal year.’ According to the “next fiscal year” referenced by Phil Rogers, CEO of Warhorse’s parent company Embracer Group, the tentative release date is between April 2027 and March 2028.
