The Horadrim Chest, added in the Diablo 4 Lords of Hatred expansion, is an equipment modification system that succeeds the Horadric Cube from Diablo 2 and Kanai's Cube from Diablo 3. While using the Horadrim Chest allows you to acquire so-called 'endgame items' much faster, players who are new to the Diablo series with Lord of Hatred or started late may find its usage difficult. For those who are still unfamiliar with the Horadrim Chest, I would like to introduce a collection of essential and practical usage methods. ▲ Horadrim Chest appearing in Diablo 4 Step 1. Collect Legendary Phases, Craft Unique Equipment Once you complete the initial campaign and enter Torment difficulty, the first thing you need to do is farm the gear that will form the foundation of your build, such as Legendary Aspects and Unique items. While you can progress through end-game content following the War Plan to acquire Legendary items and repeatedly defeat bosses that drop the Unique items you desire, you can significantly shorten this time using the Horadrim Chest. In the early stages of farming, collecting even one valid Legendary Aspect can be overwhelming. However, you can quickly gather Legendary Aspects by upgrading Rare gear to Legendary gear using the 'Upgrade to Legendary' feature. Unique items can also be obtained easily. Using 'Enhanced Primal Dust' on a Common item will transform it into a random Unique item of the same slot. This allows you to quickly obtain unique weapons with high attack power, enabling you to skip the early stages of Torment. If you lack common items to use as unique items, it is also possible to remove the attributes from magical or rare items to lower them to common grade before converting them into unique items. ▲ Unique equipment is precious in the early stages Step 2. Optimizing Equipment Attributes data-bid="11">
1. Craft an Ancestral-grade item with 3 lines of desired attributes by adding and changing attributes
2. Change the last line of attributes to the desired attribute using Enchanting3. Enchant with Legendary Phase and add a Gem Socket4. Proceed with Tempering and Mastering5. Complete the final item through Transmutation
I will show you an example of how to generally craft an item. First of all, you must obtain the equipment that will serve as the base. Ideally, it would be best to have gear with as many of your desired affixes as possible, but in the early stages, you don't need to be too greedy if you have Ancestral-grade gear. First, you must change unnecessary attributes. You can change unnecessary attributes to other ones using the Chaos Reset or Focused Reset functions in the Horadrim Chest. You can narrow down the options to change the attributes you want using the Spectroscope, and it would be best to refer to the post below to see which attributes belong to which categories.
In addition to this, you can change a narrower range of attributes through the Spectroscope of the Expert's Tuning and the Spectroscope of Colorful Tuning.
→ Check Horadrim's Chest Attribute Classification [Go]

Once you have selected all four desired attributes, apply the desired legendary phase, and if it is a slot where gems can be equipped (weapon, helmet, chest armor, pants, jewelry), create a gem socket. Afterwards, temper the desired options and proceed to Masterpiece.
▲ Imprint the desired Legendary Phase on the Arcanist
▲ You can continue tempering until satisfactory values are obtained
Step 3. The Highlight of Equipment Crafting, Transmutation If you have completed all the preceding processes, only the final step, denaturation, remains. When you transmutate an item, random processing occurs, such as adding new attributes, increasing the Masterpiece quality, or, in extreme cases, removing existing attributes; there is a high probability that changing the equipment's attributes will become impossible.
Using the 'Spectroscope of Entropy' prevents the worst-case scenarios, such as attribute removal or replacement, from appearing; however, it also prevents the highest-case scenarios, such as all-attribute affixes, from appearing, and there is a 100% chance that changing the equipment's attributes will become impossible.
Use the Spectroscope of Entropy for the first piece you are crafting, but if you are currently wearing an item and aiming for a higher value, it is recommended to proceed with standard transmutation.
Since there is a high probability that most processing, excluding attaching or detaching gems, will become impossible after transmutation, you must ensure that all desired processing is completed before proceeding. In the case of necklaces, the transmutation method is different. You can add additional random legendary options using the Spectroscope of Kulle's Tuning, which can only be used on necklaces. Unlike standard transmutation, Kulle transmutation does not incur the penalty of being unable to change attributes. Therefore, you can first obtain your desired legendary option through Kulle transmutation, and then proceed with standard transmutation just like any other item.
▲ Sometimes you hit the jackpot and can re-transmutate simultaneously with the affix,

Step 4. Aiming for Weapon Peaks Through Pre-Transmutation
Unlike the method mentioned above, there is a special method that can only be applied to weapons: the 'Pre-Transmutation, Post-Processing' method. This is a method designed to obtain the 'Gem Effect Amplification' transmutation, which appears with a very low probability, at a low resource cost. The biggest advantage of the "Transmutation First, Process Later" method is that it minimizes the resources required for attribute optimization, tempering, and mastering when creating endgame weapons. This is achieved by taking advantage of the low probability that transmutation will leave the weapon in a state where attribute changes and re-transmutation are possible. However, you must consider that you cannot obtain the desired affix, and that if you need to use a unique weapon depending on your build, it is difficult to acquire enough weapons for transmutation, so this method is only applicable when using legendary weapons.
Initially, it is a good strategy to craft a weapon for general use first, and then, once your build is somewhat complete, aim for a final weapon by transmuting first and then crafting.
Step 5. Changing Set Charms and Crafting Unique Charms
In Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, the section where you experience the most dramatic damage increase in the early Torment difficulty is precisely the 5-piece set charm of Regarding equipping: If you have collected five charms of a desired set and there are duplicate parts, you can change them to other parts of the same set using the 'Randomize Set Charm' function in the Horadrim Chest. You can also craft a unique charm to equip along with the five set charms. If you have Ancestor Unique equipment with options you want to turn into a charm, you can craft a Unique Charm by combining it with any three Unique Charms.
▲ You can craft the Unique Charm you want yourself

Step 6. Don't just throw away Seals and Offerings
As you progress through various end-game content on Torment difficulty, Nightmare Dungeon Entry Tickets naturally appear in your inventory Seals and tributes, which are tickets to the underground city, are piling up. You can synthesize higher-grade Seals or Offerings using the Fusion function in the Horadrim Cube. In addition to Entry Tickets, you can also craft higher-tier gems that cannot be crafted by the Jeweler, such as by synthesizing five Magnificent Gems to create a Horadrim Gem, and five Horadrim Gems to create a Magnificent Horadrim Gem. ▲ You can create a Legendary Enhancement Seal with five Nightmare Seals. ▲ Collect five identical Offerings to upgrade to a higher-grade Offering. You can.
