On the 9th, Choi 'Hoseok' Ho-seok of T1 defeated Park 'Chan' Chan-hwa of Kiwoom DRX with a 3-0 set score in the 2026 FSL Summer Knockout Stage at the Jamsil DN Stadium, successfully advancing to the Final Stage. In a post-match interview, 'Hoseok' said, "I knew the opponent was strong, but I felt that if I just focused on my own game, I would have a good chance of winning." He added that with a bit more improvement, he believes he can contend for the championship.

Below is the interview with today's winner, T1's Choi 'Hoseok' Ho-seok.

Q. How do you feel after your 3-0 victory over KRX's 'Chan' Park Chan-hwa?

I prepared thoroughly because I consider 'Chan' to be the best player in the FSL, and I think that preparation paid off.

Q. You won more easily than expected. How did you prepare?

I believe my opponent is strong in every aspect, so I prepared a variety of attacking patterns in addition to focusing on my defense.

Q. Your form seems excellent this season.

I think if I can improve just a little bit more, I can definitely aim for the title.

Q. You also seem much more composed.

Even when I conceded a goal, I kept thinking that I could catch up if I just stuck to my game plan. It was also great to play on a stage with a live audience for the first time in a while.

Q. You were seen crying after your loss at the FTB. It feels like you've been 'awakened' since then?

I was very disappointed in myself after the FTB finals. Since then, I've started focusing much more on concentrating on my own performance.

Q. How much do you want to win the championship?

Looking at past winners, I realize I need to be even better than I am now. I'm practicing with the mindset that 'Chan' and 'Wonder08' are the players to beat.

Q. Your tournament brackets in the FSL haven't always been easy. Does beating 'Chan' feel like you've overcome that hurdle?

I have felt that my luck with the brackets wasn't always great. But ultimately, to win the championship, you have to beat the strong players. Since I won this time, I will move forward with confidence.

Q. Any final words?

I will prepare well for the quarterfinals and do my best to win the championship.
