Clouded Leopard Entertainment (CLEK) announced on the 1st that it is adding a new 'J-Anime Style' to the fantasy life simulator Moonlight Peaks, currently under development by the Dutch studio Little Chicken Game Company. The company also revealed details regarding the first-run purchase bonuses for the physical package version. The game is scheduled for official release on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
The newly added J-Anime Style brings the distinct art style of Japanese animation and manga into the game. By switching to this setting, players can replace the standard character and animal illustrations that appear alongside dialogue with special, stylized versions. To ensure high quality, the special illustrations were created by a team of renowned Japanese illustrators, including Oguchi and T-Track, who specialize in character design.
Additionally, special purchase bonuses for the first-run physical package were unveiled. Buyers will receive an original character-themed pin-back hand mirror, as well as the 'Independence Starter Pack' DLC, which includes a set of consumable items and decorative items to help players get a head start in the game.
Moonlight Peaks is a cozy fantasy life simulator set in a mysterious town inhabited by various supernatural residents, such as werewolves, witches, and mermaids. Players embark on an intriguing journey to prove to their skeptical father that even an undead creature can lead a life full of compassion.
Players can build friendships with the town's nocturnal residents, find fated love, and enjoy the fun of renovating a dilapidated cabin—left behind by their family—into a unique gothic-style home. Furthermore, players can harness their eternal life to unlock hidden abilities, master potion-making, and learn a variety of magic. Players must uncover the secrets intertwined among the seven families of Moonlight Peaks to restore light to the spooky yet charming town, all while adhering to the unique rule of returning to their coffin before the sun rises.
