SEGA CORPORATION and Animate Co., Ltd. have announced a major global project featuring a year-long collaboration series utilizing SEGA Group's intellectual properties at Animate stores in Japan and abroad. This project, which encompasses the entire SEGA Group IP portfolio, marks the first global collaboration between the two companies. The official duration for this year-long initiative has been finalized.

Featuring eight world-renowned IPs from SEGA, its subsidiary ATLUS, and Rovio Entertainment, the project will offer fans an immersive experience through exhibitions, hands-on gameplay, merchandise, and 'Gratte' (graphic latte) collaborations at over 140 Animate locations worldwide. 'Only Shops' in each region will host themed exhibitions and serve lattes printed with character designs. Additionally, events will be held where customers can receive special benefits based on their purchase amounts.

The participating IPs will be featured in the following order: Sonic the Hedgehog, Puyo Puyo, HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE!, the Persona series (ATLUS), Metaphor: ReFantazio (ATLUS), Like a Dragon, Angry Birds (Rovio), and Sakura Wars. The events are scheduled to roll out in phases at Animate stores in Japan and overseas starting in June 2026.

As part of its transmedia strategy, SEGA is expanding its rich IP assets across various media and products, including video content and live music events, beyond just games. Through this partnership with Animate, one of Japan's largest specialty animation retailers, both companies aim to deliver unique experiences that transcend regional and generational boundaries.
