Riot Games has unveiled in-game details for its latest League of Legends champion, Yunara, the Unbroken Faith, who joins the roster in patch 25.14. A marksman designed for the bot lane, Yunara combines traditional attack mechanics with a modern twist on ability-driven play.

Rooted in Ionia’s lore, Yunara is presented as the Kinkou Order’s Fist of Shadow, a guardian who once sealed away the Darkin Glaive within the Spirit Realm during the Darkin War. Centuries later, she returns to a changed world, wielding ancient techniques alongside her bow and spiritual magic.

Yunara’s passive, Vow to the First Lands, amplifies her critical strikes with additional magic damage. Her primary ability, Cultivation of Spirit, builds stacks of Unleash on each attack, granting Yunara bursts of attack speed, bonus on-hit damage and small-area splash damage at full stacks—automatically triggering when she enters her transcendent state. Arc of Judgment, which transforms into Arc of Ruin upon transcendence, launches a prayer bead that damages and slows enemies in its path before expanding at the endpoint; in her transcended form, it becomes a focused spirit beam. Kanmei’s Steps provides a swift movement boost for repositioning or pursuit, evolving into a dash when transcended. Her ultimate, Transcend One’s Self, empowers all basic abilities and maintains her enhanced form for several seconds.

During a developer Q&A, Riot’s lead gameplay designer explained that Yunara was crafted to cater to players who favor fundamental marksman skills—spacing, orb-walking and positioning—while still offering the dynamic power spikes of modern champions. The team confirmed that Yunara will remain exclusive to the bot lane, with tuning focused on her intended role.

Yunara’s release is scheduled alongside patch 25.14, which also includes balance adjustments for existing champions and updates to in-game systems. Riot encourages players to explore Yunara’s ebb-and-flow playstyle, emphasizing timely activation of her abilities to capitalize on her transcendent power window.
