San Francisco's Overwatch roster has been revealed and it's filled with fan favorites

Today, the San Francisco Overwatch team revealed its roster on Twitter and Youtube:

Aside from the celebrity endorsements and slick editing that might currently seem foreign in the world of esports, the actual roster for the team looks strong. NRG has had some trouble in the past securing players for the long haul, but the players they secured for the OWL should make longtime fans happy.

San Francisco Overwatch League roster:

- Daniel "Dhak" Martínez Paz - Support
- David "Nomy" Ramirez - Tank
- Matthew "Super" DeLisi - Tank
- Andrej "babybay" Francisty - DPS
- André "iddqd" Dahlström - DPS
- Nikola "Sleepy" Andrews - Support
- Jay "Sinatraa" Won - DPS
- Dante "Danteh" Cruz - DPS

Sinatraa and Super are the youngest on the team and actually are ineligible to compete until they both turn 18 in the spring. Fans of the individual players may be happy that their favorite players have joined the OWL, but that doesn't mean the roster isn't without criticism.

▲ The players were excited to share the news on Twitter.

Some have called the roster too DPS heavy, with some of the rosters strongest players in the DPS slot. This is in stark contrast with the current teams-to-beat, such as Lunatic Hai who is known for their Tank and Support strength. Tank and Support heroes usually have the most impactful ultimates in the game, making these roles of vital importance.

NA Rivals

The true strength of can't be assessed, as the rest of the NA OWL teams have still not officially announced their rosters. Team Seoul AKA Lunatic Hai is the only other team to have a public roster.
