MyACG Studio announced on the 24th that 'Cinderia,' a dark fantasy roguelike action game developed by the studio and co-published with NPC Entertainment, has launched its first major update, 'Isdra V0.6.10.'
'Cinderia' is a roguelike action game set in a dark fantasy world inspired by fairy tales. In a world where civilization has been reduced to ash after a witch burned the land, players take on the role of a survivor who has endured the corruption of black magic to uncover the truth behind the apocalypse. The game features four playable characters, each with distinct combat styles, and allows players to create their own combat builds by combining various weapons, skills, and equipment.
This update is the first major overhaul since the game's Early Access launch, incorporating extensive user feedback. It focuses on improving the early-game experience to help new players adapt more easily, while providing existing players with deeper combat strategies and more engaging build options.
The most significant change is a complete rework of the playable character 'Isdra.' Moving away from a defensive, counter-focused style, Isdra has been redesigned for a more aggressive approach that seamlessly links dashes, blocks, and counters. A piercing dash attack has been added, and the 'Shield Block' cooldown has been reduced. Furthermore, a successful perfect block now clears projectiles in front of the player and grants a short invulnerability window, resulting in faster, more intense combat.
Core systems have also been revamped. The previous 'Frost' resource system has been replaced with a new 'Guard' system, which is consumed when blocking and recovers automatically during combat, making character management more intuitive. Additionally, a wide array of new abilities and modules have been added, enabling diverse combat builds centered on perfect blocks, dash specialization, freezing crowd control, throwing weapons, or executions.
General game improvements were also implemented. Memory usage has been optimized to prevent performance degradation during long play sessions, and 10 new maps have been added to Chapter 2. The balance of various content, including the legend item drop system, Chapter 4 double boss battles, and the Tier 2 witch battle, has been adjusted to further enhance the overall player experience.
A representative from MyACG Studio stated, "The Cinderia development team considers active communication with the community a core value. We view Early Access as a process of completing the game alongside our users. In the three months since launch, we have completely reworked all four playable characters, added or revamped over 100 abilities, and sequentially introduced 24 new maps, two new bosses, and a rare challenge mode."
The representative added, "We plan to continue updating the game with more diverse content, including a multiplayer mode, new playable characters, and new bosses, while further refining the main story and world-building. We look forward to receiving continued feedback from our players."
Meanwhile, 'Cinderia' is currently available in Steam Early Access and can be purchased at a 20% discount until July 24.
