On the 5th, at the second exhibition hall of the Daejeon Convention Center, Hanwha Life secured a 3-0 sweep against G2 Esports in the bracket stage of the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI). Throughout the series, G2 attempted to overwhelm Hanwha Life by focusing on team fights, but Hanwha Life remained composed, demonstrating a clear superiority in combat to take down G2.

The third set followed a similar pattern to the previous ones. 'Canyon's' Naafiri headed to the bottom lane to secure the first kill in a 3v3 skirmish, and Hanwha Life got off to a smooth start by effectively targeting 'Caps'' Cassiopeia in the mid lane. The game progressed rapidly. Seemingly losing their composure, G2 engaged in reckless fights, leading to a continuous accumulation of deficits.
In contrast, Hanwha Life played calmly, maximizing their gains at every turn. With 'Gumayusi's' Caitlyn picking up a triple kill, the kill score stood at 13-2 and the gold lead reached 7k by the 14-minute mark. Although only 15 minutes had passed, the expressions on the G2 players' faces showed they had already sensed defeat.
Hanwha Life gave them no breathing room. They quickly took down Baron and destroyed the bottom and mid inhibitors. They didn't overextend, either; after taking the two inhibitors, they retreated appropriately, picked off the G2 champions who chased them recklessly, and continued to snowball the game. They destroyed G2's Nexus in just 25 minutes, securing their second consecutive 3-0 victory.
