Akatsuki Games Inc. announced that 'KAIJU NO.8 THE GAME'—a giant-killing RPG developed in collaboration with TOHO CO., LTD. and Production I.G.—has launched a major content update for the summer season, featuring the new ★5 character [Refreshing Break] Kikoru Shinomiya in her swimsuit suit.

This major summer update introduces new characters and weapons with unique concepts, alongside special events offering various rewards, further heightening player anticipation.

First, the new ★5 character [Refreshing Break] Kikoru Shinomiya, the highest grade in the game, is now available in the new gacha. This version of Kikoru Shinomiya features her wearing a water-specialized CLOZER suit developed by the genius scientist, also known as the 'swimsuit suit.' Players can now discover her new charm and performance in the game.

Along with her, the new ★5 exclusive axe weapon 'Ax-Aryuks' has been added, tailored to Kikoru Shinomiya’s optimal weapon type, delivering even more powerful and thrilling action.

In addition to the new character release, the side event 'Performance Test on Cool Water' will be held to help beat the ongoing heatwave. The event story begins as Mina Ashiro and Kikoru Shinomiya, selected as testers for the swimsuit suit developed by the genius scientist, head to a water park for final data collection.

Just as they are about to begin the test at the pool, an unexpected incident occurs, kicking off a dizzying and exhilarating summer story where they must prove the true value of the 'swimsuit power' hidden within the mysterious new equipment.

By participating in this side event, players can enjoy an exciting story and earn a variety of rich, limited-time rewards, including over 1500 Dimensional Crystals (the game's paid currency) and an exclusive in-game home background to decorate their lobby screen.
