505 Pulse, the indie label of Digital Bros, has officially announced its new title, 'Rhythm Doggo.' The label, which is part of the digital entertainment company Digital Bros Group, stated that it is partnering with Swedish solo developer Nicklas Nygren to bring the game to market.
Better known by his handle 'Nifflas,' Nicklas Nygren is the developer behind titles such as 'Knytt Stories,' 'Ynglet,' 'NightSky,' and 'Affordable Space Adventures.' He has built a dedicated following for his work, which focuses on atmosphere, exploration, and the innovative use of algorithmic music.
Rhythm Doggo is scheduled for release on Steam in 2027, with a specific launch date yet to be determined. A closed playtest will be held prior to the release, and players can apply to participate via the game's Steam Hub and official Discord.

The new title is expected to be a culmination of Nifflas' signature style, emphasizing the fusion of procedural audio and dynamic gameplay. Drawing on the developer's history of working with algorithm-based music, the soundscape will change in real-time based on the player's movements and choices.
The adaptive soundtrack serves as a core mechanic that directly influences gameplay rather than acting as mere background elements. Nifflas' approach, which prioritizes organic discovery and atmosphere over rigid tutorials or linear progression, remains a central feature.
An interesting detail is that the developer's pet dog, 'Hotdog,' is actively participating in the production. Hotdog will not only appear in the game but is also credited as a voice actor.
505 Pulse stated that this collaboration marks another milestone in the label's commitment to supporting independent developers with unique and uncompromising creative visions.
Meanwhile, 505 Pulse is an indie-focused publishing label that provides end-to-end support for development, ranging from QA and localization to production, platform submission, marketing, PR, and project funding. It helps indie games reach a global audience through distribution networks spanning PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and Steam.
