The in-game footage for 'Persona 4 Revival,' one of the most highly anticipated titles from this Xbox Game Showcase, has finally been revealed.
Just as the original 'Persona 4' improved upon the UI and certain systems of 'Persona 3,' this remake, 'Persona 4 Revival,' appears to be built on the foundation of 'Persona 3 Reload.' The most immediate change is the 'Investigation Team' members, who now feature improved, slender eight-head-tall proportions. Their graphics and character models have been overhauled while staying true to the original designs. The trailer also offers glimpses of other characters, including Igor and Marie, who appeared in the definitive version, 'Persona 4 Golden.'
The combat system and visual presentation have also seen significant advancements. As in the original, players enter an otherworldly realm through a TV to battle, and while the atmosphere of the 'TV world' remains intact, the updated character models allow for much more dynamic and spectacular visuals. The All-Out Attack sequences have received similar treatment; whereas the original felt like a chaotic scuffle in a cloud of dust, 'Persona 4 Revival' puts extra care into these animations to give the attacks a much greater sense of impact and weight.
'Persona 4 Revival' is scheduled for release on February 18, 2027, for Steam, PS5, and Xbox consoles.
