The new 007 game, '007: First Light,' has reached 1.5 million copies sold within 24 hours of its release.
On the 29th (KST), IO Interactive announced via its official X (formerly Twitter) account that 007: First Light sold 1.5 million units in its first day.
The developer stated, "We sincerely thank everyone who joined us for the launch of 007: First Light and shared their enthusiastic support and valuable experiences."
Developed by IO Interactive, the studio famous for the Hitman series, 007: First Light is an action-adventure title that reimagines the story of a young James Bond. Players step into the shoes of a 26-year-old Bond, experiencing his journey from an MI6 recruit to a full-fledged spy.
The game combines creative mission design with globe-trotting espionage, featuring an original story that feels like a 007 film, brought to life by Patrick Gibson's stellar performance. However, the awkward Korean translation has been noted as a drawback.
007: First Light was released on May 28 for PC, PS5, and XSX|S. The game has received positive reviews, currently holding a 87 on Metacritic and a 'Very Positive' rating on Steam.
