Smilegate Future Lab (Chairperson Kwon Hyuk-bin), which designs creative environments for future generations, announced on Tuesday, the 19th, that it has begun accepting applications for exhibition teams for the indie game festival 'BeaverRocks 2026.'
BeaverRocks is the largest indie game creator and user festival in the Seoul metropolitan area, dedicated to expanding the base of the domestic indie game development ecosystem and supporting creators. It provides creators with opportunities for mutual growth through peer exchange, while offering users a chance to discover innovative games. Over the past four years, the event has attracted more than 44k visitors, and with increasing participation from international creators each year, it is growing into a global creative festival.

This year, the event will move to Halls 1 and 2 of SETEC in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and will be held for three days from Friday, December 18, to Sunday, December 20.
Exhibition teams can apply through the official BeaverRocks website starting today until 6:00 PM on Monday, July 27. Any team or individual currently developing an indie game is eligible to apply. Eligibility is independent of release status or whether the project has secured investment or publishing contracts. Works previously submitted to past events are also eligible for resubmission.
Participating teams will receive free exhibition booths and equipment. The organizers will also provide a report summarizing user feedback collected during the event to assist in practical development. Participants will have the chance to win the 'Beaver Featured' award through peer voting, and the event will also feature a creator lounge and networking programs.
Baek Min-jung, Head of Smilegate Future Lab, stated, "As we mark the 5th anniversary of BeaverRocks this year, we are moving to a larger venue to ensure that even more creators and users can connect in a better space. We look forward to the interest and participation of many teams who are crafting indie games with their own unique philosophies."
