Konami Digital Entertainment announced a major update for Yu-Gi-Oh! DUEL LINKS, introducing a refreshed Duel Monsters World alongside new character styles, rewards, and unlockable content. The update brings redesigned looks for fan favorites Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, expanding the game’s roster and visual presentation. In addition, duelists will soon face Noah Kaiba, a rival first introduced in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! anime series. Players can unlock him during a limited-time event beginning Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The patch also introduces new card visuals, including foil effects for the “Gaia the Dragon Champion” and a new animation foil effect for the classic “Dark Magician.” Fans of the Blue-Eyes archetype will be able to earn “Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon Knight (Speed Duel)” with luminous foil styling, while “Five Dragon (Rush Duel)” arrives with a dark tenebrous foil option.
Content and Rewards
In addition to character updates, the release adds several new BOXes and decks. The main BOX “Ultimate Chaos,” SELECTION MINI BOX Vol. 7, and Structure Deck EX “Soul Servant” are all now available. For a limited time, the “Soul Servant” deck will be offered free, alongside 10 “Ultimate Chaos” packs and a guaranteed Ultra Rare card.
Players logging in during the event period can claim an array of rewards. These include alternate art cards, skills for Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba, card sleeves, mats, gems, and tickets for unlocking characters and skills. The login campaign also offers high-value tickets, such as SR and UR Dream Tickets, spread across eight days of daily rewards.
The update continues Konami’s strategy of blending nostalgia with fresh content to keep DUEL LINKS active nearly a decade after its launch. With new characters, card visuals, and structured login campaigns, the latest update reinforces the game’s ongoing ties to its anime roots while encouraging both returning and competitive duelists to engage.
