The first Overwatch 2 PvP beta was a hit with some in the Overwatch community, but there were a lot of things missing for others. Many wanted new maps instead of just tweaks to the time of day in existing maps. Others wanted more buffs for healers to make them fit into the new aggressive meta. And others wanted console players to have the opportunity to join in on the action.
Now, Overwatch developers have announced a second beta that will answer some of these demands from the community.
The official Overwatch Twitter account declared that a new beta is coming on June 28, just a couple weeks away. The second beta will be for PC and console players this time around. Junker Queen and a new map will also be available to test out.
Developers also stated that sign-ups will begin June 16. This date has been on Overwatch fans' minds for quite a while now since it was mentioned after the first beta ended. Developers have stated that June 16 will be when more details are dropped about the upcoming beta as well as more plans in the works leading up to Overwatch 2's release.
