Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-kyu) announced on the 5th that it recorded ₩749.2 billion in revenue and ₩80.1 billion in operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 on a consolidated basis. Revenue increased by 4.4% year-on-year and 15% quarter-on-quarter. While operating profit fell 20.8% compared to the same period last year, it rose 50.8% from the previous quarter. During the same period, EBITDA reached ₩112 billion, down 14.6% year-on-year but up 33.5% quarter-on-quarter, while net profit stood at ₩203.9 billion, an increase of 27.3% year-on-year and a decrease of 3.3% quarter-on-quarter.
Cumulative performance for the first half of the year shows ₩1.4009 trillion in revenue, ₩133.2 billion in operating profit, and ₩414.8 billion in net profit. Compared to the previous year, revenue grew by 4.4%, operating profit declined by 11.7%, and net profit surged by 72.5%.
A notable highlight is the company's overseas performance. Second-quarter overseas revenue reached ₩580.8 billion, accounting for 78% of total revenue. The overseas segment showed significant growth, rising 13.4% quarter-on-quarter and 22.6% year-on-year.
By region, North America accounted for the largest share of Q2 revenue at 39%, followed by South Korea (22%), Europe (13%), Southeast Asia (10%), Japan (9%), and others (7%). By genre, RPGs accounted for 42%, casual games 35%, MMORPGs 17%, and others 6%, reflecting a diversified portfolio.
Netmarble attributed the increase in Q2 revenue to the combined effects of updates for 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' and the initial performance of its new MMORPG, 'SOL: Enchantment,' which launched on June 18.
Netmarble CEO Kim Byung-kyu stated, "We are strengthening our business capabilities this year by expanding our services across various platforms. Furthermore, in the second half, we will focus on enhancing our live services to improve earnings stability and continue our growth momentum through the development of differentiated new titles."
In the second half of the year, the company aims to launch three new titles: Solo Leveling: Arise (Karma), Shangri-La Frontier: Seven Bestiaries, and Project Aegis. The first two will be unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show this September, where Pearl in Blue, a subculture collectible RPG currently in development for a 2027 release, will also be showcased.
