The Netmarble Cultural Foundation (Chairman Bang Jun-hyuk) announced on the 4th that it has renovated the library space at the 'Netmarble Game Museum' and transitioned its inaugural special exhibition, 'Press Start: Korean PC Game Stage,' into a permanent exhibition.

This permanent exhibition was designed to illuminate the cultural and industrial significance of 'Korean PC games,' which served as milestones in the nation's gaming history. It has previously resonated deeply with visitors by faithfully capturing the spirit of challenge and the know-how of first-generation developers who laid the market's foundation between the console boom of the 1980s and the popularization of online games in the 2000s.

The exhibition features newly restored chronological panels documenting the rise and fall of the industry from the 1990s through the 2000s, alongside physical copies of classic package titles that defined the era. Additionally, the 'Keyword Zone,' which explores the historical footprint of Korean PC games through the core themes of 'People, Content, Technology, and Localization,' has reopened.

The spatial layout has also undergone a major overhaul. By removing the existing library's movable walls, the area has been reorganized into distinct 'reading' and 'exhibition' spaces. This transformation has turned what was once a static reading room into a complex cultural space where chronological history and thematic zones blend organically.

The Netmarble Cultural Foundation plans to continue strengthening its role in documenting and preserving game culture, while further developing the museum into a family-friendly cultural space that encourages repeat visits.

Meanwhile, the Netmarble Game Museum was established to promote the social and cultural value of games and to serve as a landmark for the history of gaming worldwide. It features an 'exhibition space' for viewing various domestic and international artifacts, a 'learning space' for exploring a wide range of materials, and a 'play space' where visitors can experience classic games firsthand, providing a hub for communication that bridges all generations.
