To celebrate TennoCon 2026, Digital Extremes is granting permanent access to the pre-alpha 'Preludes' phase of its new fantasy action RPG, 'Soulframe.
Previously, 'Soulframe' was limited to closed testing for randomly selected users. However, anyone who registers an account on the official website by 12:59 PM KST on Monday, July 13 (11:59 PM ET on July 12) will receive unlimited access to the latest build of the game until its official public launch. Those who sign up after this deadline will have to wait for the weekly lottery system to receive access, as was the case previously.
'Soulframe' is a title defined by its dark fantasy world themed around nature and its heavy, strategic melee combat, which contrasts with the fast-paced gameplay of Digital Extremes' flagship title, 'Warframe.' During the TennoCon 2026 Devstream, a wide array of new content was unveiled, including the new Fable quest 'Warsongs,' set to arrive this fall.
The 'Vadagar' Pact, which allows players to grow by harnessing the corruption of their enemies, was introduced in detail. Players can wield the power of corrupted Ichor to throw explosive boomerangs or summon swarms of corrosive steeds that leave behind pools of decay, enabling a darker and more destructive combat style. Additionally, the event showcased a lakeside fishing mini-game woven into the narrative of Alca, as well as a boss fight against the 'Mendicant Reinbreaker' of the Ode army. Other announcements included a system to liberate and bond with captured steeds after defeating bosses, and the introduction of wolf mounts to the Preludes later this year.
'Soulframe' is currently refining its quality through the limited, invite-based 'Preludes' test on PC, with plans to expand to consoles including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in the future. Major updates, such as the mounts announced at the event, are scheduled for release in the second half of 2026, while the global official launch date remains to be determined.
