Gen.G Esports continued their dominant run by closing out Game 4 against G2 Esports, taking the series 3–1 and booking their ticket to the next round. From the very start—at the level-one timing—both squads clashed heavily in the bottom lane, burning multiple summoner spells on each side. Gen.G’s coordinated gank secured first blood on Aatrox, giving them an immediate edge. Not long after, a skirmish near the Dragon pit saw Gen.G once again come out ahead, as Ruler’s Corki picked up two kills to extend their lead.
G2 weren’t out of it yet: Dr. Mundo found a kill of his own and scaled into a formidable mid-game threat. Then Caps on Twisted Fate used his ultimate to collapse from across the map, catching Corki off-guard in the bottom lane. Despite G2’s repeated attempts to introduce chaos through skirmishes, Gen.G’s disciplined side-lane play thwarted every opportunity.
By 25 minutes, dragons were even at 2–2, the kill score was deadlocked at 7–7, and Gen.G held only a slim gold advantage. In a tense four-for-four trade—where both Jayce and Dr. Mundo fell—Gen.G’s jungler pinged Baron early. Riding Corki’s damage output, they secured the Baron buff and decisively won the ensuing team fight.
With Baron empowered, Gen.G methodically dismantled G2’s remaining defenses, marched down mid, and destroyed the Nexus. Their 3–1 victory not only showcased strategic depth but also cemented their status as a top contender moving forward.
