Kuro on His Visit at LoL Park: "Since Afreeca Freecs is playing against KT Rolster today, I came here to make fun of Smeb and my old AF teammates."

On February 2nd, Kuro came visiting with Kramer to support Afreeca Freecs playing in the LCK at the LoL Park in South Korea. Kuro, the former mid laner for Afreeca Freecs, is now the mid laner for LPL’s Bilibili Gaming. He was visiting Korea during the Lunar New Year and came to watch his former teammates playing against KT Rolster. We had the chance to interview Kuro about his old team and him playing in the LPL.

Hello!

Hello, I am Kuro, the mid laner for Bilibili Gaming in the LPL.

It’s been a while since you got to say hello to your fans after you transferred to an LPL team. How have you been?

As you can see, I gained a bit of weight. I’m actually doing fine so there’s nothing you should worry about me.

How is your life in China? Could you please introduce your team briefly for the fans who don’t know well about Bilibili Gaming?

Bilibili Gaming is a team that takes good care of their players. It’s an organization that is great and fun.

Are there also other Korean players in your team?

ADD, formerly a member of MVP, is now our top laner. There’s also Chieftain, a jungler who used to be a trainee for EDG. They're cute and younger than me so we get along well.

What is the reason you visited LoL Park today?

Since Afreeca Freecs is playing against KT Rolster today, I came here to make fun of Smeb and my old AF teammates (Laughs).

Did you see your portrait in the LCK Legend Hall here at the Lol Park? How did you feel about it?

I thought that they wouldn’t count me in since I went away to play in China but they did, which I am very grateful for. It means a lot to me, and it made me proud of having played in the LCK for 5 years.

Did you get to see how your old team, Afreeca Freecs, came up with unconventional picks in the LCK lately? What did you think of them?

It made me think they must be having a tough time lately (Laughs). I just came back from chatting with my old teammates. I think they are just showing off AF’s own special style.

Do you think Ucal is doing well? He took over your spot in the team.

I think he’s playing worse than what I used to do back in AF (Laughs). I think he’s going to be greater than me once he adjusts to the team, though. I think Kiin, who’s playing with him, is a mysterious guy.

What are the LPL stadiums like?

There are so many stadiums in each region. The stadium in Shanghai is really great. It’s different for each team but they are all great overall.

Do you like watching LCK games when you are in China? Is there any team you have your eyes on at the moment?

There were 2-3 teams that I thought will play well; first, I thought SKT T1 and Griffin will play well but I didn’t know SANDBOX will play as good as this. I’m keeping my eyes on Griffin, SKT, and SANDBOX right now.

Lastly, would you like to say something for your fans who are supporting you even though you are playing in China?

Although it’s been 6 years since I began my pro gaming career, there are still many fans who are supporting me. I’d like to thank them and return their favor by making it to the international tournaments like the Rift Rivals, etc. Thank you so much!
