Ssumday on Staying in 100 Thieves: "I’ve done pretty well over the past year. I’ll do my best to perform even better.”

On the 20th of November, 100 Thieves released a video of Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho, implying that Ssumday will be playing for them for the 2019 season.

In the short video, 100 Thieves had a montage Ssumday highlights and a short message from Ssumday, saying that he’s the 100 Thieves top laner. In the tweet, 100 Thieves said that 2019 starts now.

Shortly afterward, they announced that Ssumday has signed a 2-year extension with the team.

Ssumday told Inven Global his thoughts on extending his contract. “I think I’ve done pretty well over the past year. I’ll do my best to perform even better.” He didn’t forget to thank the fans by saying “Thank you to all the fans who support me, and I hope you continue to cheer for me.”

Ssumday has been the carry for 100 Thieves during 2018. In the spring split, he led the team to the finals but lost to Team Liquid. During the summer split, Ssumday was the runner-up for the MVP award, just behind Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng. With Ssumday’s high performance, 100 Thieves were able to finish within the top 4 again.

100 Thieves started their 2019 early by extending the contract with Ssudmay. With all the chaos in the offseason, many fans are eager to see who else 100 Thieves will be signing for the remaining positions.
