'Marvel Fighting: Fighting Souls,' a new fighting game currently in development by Arc System Works, will begin its open beta test (OBT) on July 24.
The beta test will run from July 24 to 26 (PST). Players in Korea can join the test starting at 4:00 PM KST on July 24. The test will feature a total of 15 characters, including the new character 'Blade,' and players can choose from six stages, including 'New,' to enjoy the game.
The test will also provide casual and ranked matches via an online lobby, as well as local versus and training modes, offering a key opportunity to study characters and master the flow of combat before the official launch. Furthermore, players can experience three episode chapters, including 'Amazing Guardians,' to get a feel for the story mode in Marvel Fighting: Fighting Souls.
Meanwhile, 'Marvel Fighting' is a fighting game based on a 4v4 tag system. Matches are played as a best-of-five, with four characters sharing a single health bar. The tag system is arguably the most defining feature of 'Marvel Fighting' as a fighting game. Beyond the character currently in play, it offers strategic opportunities to shift the flow of battle through 'Crossover' moves, which allow players to summon assist characters by consuming the Assemble Gauge.
Marvel Fighting: Fighting Souls is scheduled for official release on August 6. More details can be found on the official YouTube channel.
