Wednesday morning, July 15, TSM announced that they were promoting Erik "Treatz" Wessén to their League Championship Series squad, moving Vincent "Biofrost" Wang to Academy. TSM is coming off their first 0-2 weekend of the Split, after playing league leaders, Cloud9, and Immortals. This is the first roster change the team is taking this Split.

Treatz has been playing for TSM Academy for nearly two seasons, since the start of 2019. In his first Split, he won Academy Playoffs, and has gotten 3rd/4th in each Split afterwards. His promotion to the LCS rejoins him with his former Academy Jungler, Mingyi "Spica" Lu, who was promoted to TSM's LCS roster this off-season. TSM Academy is currently sitting in first place, with an 8-2 record, with Treatz holding a 6 KDA and 75% kill participation.

TSM plays 100 Thieves and FlyQuest this weekend. 100 Thieves has recently been on a tear, after their own roster changes, going 3-1 (only losing to Cloud9) in their last games. FlyQuest, who used to share the second place spot alongside TSM, however, also had an 0-2 weekend last week, and will be looking to bounce back. TSM currently sit in sole possession of third place, at 6-4.
