Overwatch is set to introduce D.Mon, a new Korean MEKA pilot following in the footsteps of D.Va.
Blizzard announced the reveal schedule for D.Mon, the game's 53rd hero, via its official channel on the 4th. The teaser video, released ahead of the official hero trailer, provides a first look at D.Mon.
The teaser video shows Daemon inside a red mech, engaged in battle against Wrecking Ball. As Wrecking Ball fires indiscriminately onto a bridge in Busan, Daemon, piloting the mech, rallies the team by shouting, 'MEKA squad, on me.' Contrary to previous rumors, the character is shown with medium-length, curly purple hair. The short teaser concludes with a scene of Daemon’s red mech flying into the sky alongside other members of the MEKA squad.
This teaser contains a portion of the upcoming official trailer, with the full version scheduled for release on the 6th (local time; 1:00 AM KST on the 7th). A gameplay trailer will follow on the 7th, showcasing D.Mon in action. Subsequently, the trailer for 'Talon's Reign Season 4' will be released on the 10th, with the season itself launching on the 11st.
D.Mon’s arrival was previously hinted at during the OWCS Mid-Season Championship, where green graphics, the MEKA squad logo, and various symbols flashed across the screen. D.Mon’s appearance has been teased consistently; the hero reveal materials for the 2026 'Talon's Reign' season included silhouettes of five new heroes, one of which appeared to be a MEKA. Furthermore, D.Mon (Lee Yu-na) and her MEKA, 'Beast,' have been referenced in short animations and lore.
The red MEKA, Beast, is designed to be piloted by a human, much like D.Va’s Tokki. It features heavy armor plating, giving it a sturdy appearance, and the teaser confirms that it is equipped with a blade-style weapon on its right arm, consistent with early concept art. However, the final, precise design of D.Mon and the MEKA will be confirmed upon the release of the official artwork.
Meanwhile, D.Mon’s debut is tied to the backstory of Season 4. The Busan map is expected to reflect the aftermath of an invasion by the Junkers, suggesting that D.Mon’s arrival may be linked to a conflict with them. Wrecking Ball, seen attacking the Busan bridge in the video, is also expected to clash with the MEKA squad due to its ties to Junkertown.
