NC released an update for Lineage W on Wednesday, June 10. This week's update includes the new 'Chronicle' content, the addition of Transformation Cards based on the original manga, and news of a World Cup event.

The new 'Chronicle' content allows players to experience the original manga. Players can take on the roles of key figures from the factions of Death Knight and Ken Rauhel to engage in various battles and minigames. The content is divided into chapters, parts, and episodes. Clearing episodes rewards players with Guardian Knight's Oath Fragments and Guardian Knight's Protection, while clearing chapters grants items such as the Red Lion's Cloak, Black Dragon's Gaiters, and Skin cards. Currently, only Chapter 1 is available, with Chapter 2 scheduled for release in July. Additionally, new Transformation Cards featuring the art style of the original manga have been added.

An event is also starting to celebrate the upcoming World Cup. Until the maintenance on Wednesday, June 24, players can purchase one 'Time Soccer Ball' per account daily from the [Shop - Exchange center - Consumables] menu using Adena. This is a probability-based event where each use of a soccer ball grants either a higher-tier soccer ball or a Yellow Card. Players must succeed four times in a row—starting from the 'Soccer Ball #1' to the 'Dazzling Dribble Soccer Ball #2', 'Breakthrough Success Soccer Ball #3', and finally the 'Decisive Shot Soccer Ball #4'—to receive the final reward. Even if a player fails to draw the next soccer ball, they will receive a 'Yellow Card' which provides various rewards. Using the final 'Decisive Shot Soccer Ball' may result in a 'Red Card' instead of a chest.
