kt Rolster got off to a flying start on the 29th, defeating T1 2-0 in their Legend Group match during Round 3 of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season at LoL PARK in Jongno. Despite a sudden roster change that saw 'Fenrir' Park Gang-jun step in as the starting AD carry following internal team discord, the squad displayed even tighter teamwork to take down their formidable rivals, T1.
The following is the full transcript of the interview with Head Coach Go Dong-bin and 'Bdd' Kwak Bo-seong.

Q. Could you share your thoughts on the victory.
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = Since this was the opening match of Round 3, this win is very valuable.
'Bdd': I was quite worried about this match, so I'm really glad we could start off with a win.
Q. I'm curious about the strategy you prepared against a strong team like T1, and what you think worked well to secure the 2-0 victory.
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = We prepared a lot of teamfight-oriented picks today. There were many skirmishes throughout the games, but I think we won because our players performed well.
Q. KT's performance wasn't great at the recent online KeSPA Cup. What changes did you make heading into today's match?
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = Our performance had been poor for a while, including at the KeSPA Cup. I felt our overall direction was off, so we decided to simplify things and return to the philosophy we had last year.
Q. You called up and started 'Fenrir' today instead of 'Aiming'. What led to such a bold decision?
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = As mentioned in the team's official announcement before the match, there was indeed internal conflict within the roster. It is regrettable that I, as head coach, could not coordinate or address it sooner. After the situation arose, I tried to mediate to create the best possible environment, but it felt like the trust within the team had been severely damaged, making it difficult to train normally. That is why I made this decision.
Q. How much practice did the team have with 'Fenrir' before the call-up? Was this a sudden change, or was it something you had been considering.
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = To be honest, we didn't have any scrims with 'Fenrir'. You could say the call-up was quite urgent.
Q. Does this mean 'Fenrir' will be the permanent starter moving forward?
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = Since we've just started Round 3 and there isn't much of the season left, we will likely stick with this lineup.
Q. 'Bdd', you had some preparation time leading up to Round 3. What was your mindset heading into the second half of the season.
'Bdd': We've had moments where we started strong but lost our way as time went on. Personally, I feel like we haven't built up enough, so I want to start building properly from here on out to show better team synergy. I'm determined to do well.
Q. In Game 2, how did you determine how to play the game to accelerate your power spike?
'Bdd': In the current meta, it doesn't feel like the game is decided solely by the mid laner gaining priority. That's why we opted for picks with higher value. It might have been uncomfortable for 'Cuzz' during the laning phase, but I was able to scale comfortably. Once I reached that point, I felt we could win the game.
Q. (To Head Coach Go Dong-bin) You have extended your contract with kt Rolster until 2029. Could you briefly share the reason and your thoughts.
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = KT is a team that holds great significance for me, and the organization has shown a lot of faith in me. We both wanted to continue our journey together for a long time, which led to this three-year contract.
Q. Is 'Aiming' still living at the practice facility, or is the team handling the situation differently?
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = I cannot provide any further specific details on that matter in this interview. I apologize.
Q. A final word for the fans, please.
Head Coach Go Dong-bin = It was a difficult situation for the opening match, but the players performed well and secured the win. We will work on improving our teamwork even more for the remainder of the season and won't give up until the end.
'Bdd': I know the fans must have been very worried, just as we were. As the team captain, I feel sorry and continue to feel a sense of responsibility. With that in mind, I will work hard with our new teammate so that we can finish strong and end the season on a high note.
