Gen.G concluded their EWC 2026 LoL campaign in third place after defeating T1 2-1 in the third-place match held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France on the 19th.

Gen.G took an early lead by securing two kills on Oner's Lee Sin and Keria's Camille. Shortly after, Kiin's Vayne solo-killed Doran's Ambessa in the top lane. However, T1 launched a fierce counterattack, with Peyz's Sylas racking up multiple kills to flip the global gold lead. Gen.G responded by winning a massive teamfight in the mid lane, securing Baron, and destroying T1's Nexus in 27 minutes to take the first set.
In the second set, Gen.G cleanly dove the bottom lane to take down T1's bot duo. T1's Oner rotated his Wukong to the top lane to catch Kiin's Gwen, but Gen.G still came out ahead in overall value. T1 fought back by winning the Voidgrub skirmish and scoring consecutive kills in the bottom lane. Nevertheless, Gen.G's Chovy brought his Mel down to the bottom lane to secure a double kill, effectively putting out the fire.
Chovy's showtime continued. His Mel made its presence felt, even solo-killing a tank K'Sante in the top lane. T1, however, had Keria's Bard. During a 1v1 between the AD carries in the mid lane, Keria's timely arrival allowed T1 to take down Ruler's Ezreal, and he later caught Ezreal again with a well-placed Bard ultimate.
A massive teamfight broke out over the Dragon. T1's Oner landed a fantastic initiation to quickly take down Mel, leading to an Ace for T1. After securing Baron, T₩1 another teamfight in the mid lane, extending their global gold lead to 10k by the 26-minute mark. While Gen.G showed resilience by picking off opponents during their defense, T1 ultimately closed out the game to tie the series 1-1.
In the final third set, Gen.G won the Voidgrub skirmish while Kiin's Varus simultaneously took down Doran's Yorick in the bottom lane. Gen.G also won the top lane skirmish, building a lead of over 2000 gold by the 14-minute mark. Although the gold gap did not widen further, Gen.G quickly stacked three Dragons.
After catching Faker's Orianna near the Baron pit, Gen.G moved to take the objective. T1's four remaining members tried to disrupt the attempt, but Gen.G chased them down, wiped them out, and safely secured Baron. The subsequent teamfight near the Dragon was one-sided; T1 was helpless against Gen.G's engage. Gen.G secured the Dragon Soul and closed out the EWC in third place.
