Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 13rd that it unveiled the direction for the new season and an update roadmap for its mobile action game 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' during its online showcase, 'DNF Mobile Arcade 2026'.
The showcase was broadcast live on the official 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' YouTube channel on the 11st. NeoPle General Director Yoon Myung-jin and caster Sung Seung-hun appeared to introduce the new season's direction, which begins rolling out on August 13, along with key update milestones and content. Starting this season, 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' will operate under the 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile 2' initiative, which prioritizes 'freedom' and 'accessibility.' The game is shifting away from the traditional structure of clearing dungeons in a fixed order, instead allowing players to enjoy content in their preferred way. The overall system is also being revamped to ensure that even short play sessions provide a satisfying sense of growth.
First, the level cap will be raised from 85 to 90, and 'Metro Center,' the gateway city to Asmodae, will be introduced. The story follows an adventurer who falls into Asmodae due to an unexpected dimensional disaster, creating a unique narrative for 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' that diverges from the original game. Additionally, a new level 80 equipment system will be introduced, featuring 'Characteristic Options' that vary equipment quality based on selected options, as well as an 'Enchantment Slot' system that consolidates reinforcement, refinement, and enchantment into a single, easy-to-manage interface.
A new elite dungeon, 'Garden of Moonlight,' and the 'Luke' raid will also be added. The 'Luke' raid is designed to allow solo players to earn the same core rewards as party players, significantly reducing the burden of farming. Furthermore, the new character 'Archer' and two subclasses, 'Muse' and 'Traveler,' will be added, and the existing original character 'Warrior' will undergo a comprehensive skill structure overhaul to make the character easier to control.
The in-game economy will also see major changes. A new tradeable currency, 'Gold Coin,' will be introduced, allowing users to grow their resources solely through gameplay and trading. Additionally, the competitive content 'Proving Ground' will expand to Season 2 with new rankings and rewards, and 'World Boss' will be modified to allow for challenges at the adventurer squad level, providing a more diverse gameplay experience.
Meanwhile, to commemorate the showcase, Nexon is providing various gifts to all players who log in by September 17, including a 'Clone Rare Avatar Set Chest,' a '+15 Equipment Reinforcement Ticket,' an 'ARCADE 2026 Aura Chest,' and an 'ARCADE 2026 Title Chest.' Additionally, a pre-registration event for the new season is running until August 12. Players can participate via the official website to receive a 'Master Contract (30 days),' a 'Super Asmodae Skill Cut-scene,' and a 'Super Asmodae Portrait Frame.'
More details regarding the 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' showcase and the second-half update roadmap can be found on the 'Dungeon&Fighter Mobile' YouTube channel and official website.
