Fatshark, the developer behind the Vermintide series, brought its signature co-op action to the Warhammer 40k universe with the first-person shooter 'Warhammer 40k: Darktide.' About three and a half years after its launch, the game has released its third DLC class: the Skitarii.
The Skitarii are the military forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Cult of the Machine on Mars. True to their devotion to knowledge and technology, they augment their bodies with machinery, enhancing both mind and body to possess strength far beyond that of a standard soldier. The class added to the game is the Skitarii Alpha Primus, an elite unit that has undergone even more advanced augmentation. They are equipped with powerful melee weapons, reliable ranged weapons, and the ability to perform long-range assassinations with their rifles.
With this release, the base game has climbed to 3rd place on the global popularity chart, showing that interest has translated into actual sales. It also reached 7th place in Korean sales, confirming the game's enduring appeal. Notably, the anticipation for this DLC has led to a significant increase in the player count; following the new class launch, Warhammer 40k: Darktide recorded a daily peak of approximately 57k concurrent players. Excluding the period immediately following the game's initial launch, this is the highest figure recorded across all previous class releases.

■ Release | Mold Washer

The cozy cleaning arcade game 'Mold Washer' was released on Steam on June 23. Players take on the role of a sushi character wielding a high-pressure sprayer, cleaning mold off long-neglected refrigerators, kitchens, basements, and sewers in a style reminiscent of 'PowerWash Simulator.' Unlike that title, however, it features an isometric 2D design and allows players to switch between tools—such as flamethrowers, pickaxes, and blowers, in addition to the pressure washer—to remove various types of grime and upgrade their equipment. While some have noted the game's short length, it has been praised for its Lo-Fi soundtrack and the satisfying, clean-up gameplay characteristic of the genre.
■ Release | Civilization VII: Brush and Blade Collection

FIRAXIS has launched the first content for the new Civilization VII DLC, 'Brush and Blade,' alongside the 1.4.1 free update. This collection, which focuses on the history of Korea and Japan, will be released in two parts. The first part includes the leader 'Toyotomi Hideyoshi,' the Heian Japan/Sengoku Japan civilizations, four new Wonders, and profile customization rewards. The 1.4.1 update adds several highly requested features for free, including local hot-seat multiplayer, Voronoi-style archipelago map generation, and a revamp of the government tradition system. The second part of the content, arriving this summer, will feature the legendary Korean admiral Yi Sun-sin and the Goryeo/Joseon civilizations. Thanks to this content drop, Civilization VII has returned to the Korean popularity charts, landing at 13rd place.
