IO Interactive has released a 30-minute gameplay video for its upcoming title, '007: First Light,' which is scheduled for release on May 27.
The video is designed to showcase the core gameplay of the title, which features a 26-year-old James Bond as the protagonist. It provides a step-by-step look at the experience, starting with training sequences and moving through espionage, combat, and the 'License to Kill' system.
The beginning of the video shows Bond, fresh out of joining MI6, undergoing training at a facility in Malta. In this section, players learn the basic controls and core systems, such as stealth and gadget operation.
The video then follows Bond as he infiltrates a gala in Kensington. To reach the restricted second floor, Bond interacts with various characters at the event. The footage highlights how players can explore multiple routes to achieve a single objective, such as impersonating a reporter to bypass security or stealing a staff list to feed false information to guards.
Players can choose whether to bypass guards or confront them head-on. The video also features combat scenes with heavy, impactful melee strikes and offers a brief glimpse of the 'License to Kill' system, which activates only when enemies pose a lethal threat to Bond.
'007: First Light' is set to launch on PC and consoles on May 27. Further information is available on the game's Steam store page.
