Netmarble (CEO Kim Byung-kyu) announced on the 15th that it has launched Season 1, 'Frost and Steel,' for 'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad' (developed by Netmarble Neo). The 'Frost and Steel' season will run for a total of six weeks, featuring intense faction warfare set in the North, where the invasion of the Ironborn has begun.
At the start of the season, players will choose one of three houses—▲Umber, ▲Hornwood, or ▲Manderly—and pledge their loyalty as a bannerman. Throughout the season, players will compete for their house's honor by engaging in various content.
A wide range of seasonal content has also been added. Season Quests and Relic Quests are now available, and five major dungeons have been converted into seasonal dungeons themed around Season 1. Additionally, players can earn 'Season Points' by participating in 'Raid Defense,' the 'Northern Bannerman Duel Festival,' and various field exploration activities. These accumulated points will be used to determine individual and house rankings.
Other updates include ▲the new 'Broken Sword' relic, ▲the new 'Unicorn' boss for the Altar of Memories, ▲Hard Mode for the Altar of Memories, and ▲the expansion of the 'Worm Road' challenge content to 40 floors.
'Game of Thrones: Kingsroad' is an open world action RPG based on Season 4 of HBO's Emmy and Golden Globe-winning 'Game of Thrones' series. Produced by Netmarble under an official license from HBO, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the game is characterized by its high-quality recreation of the original series' world and characters, providing an immersive experience based on meticulous historical research.
