HoYoverse announced on the 24th that the next major region for its open-world adventure RPG 'Genshin Impact,' titled 'Snezhnaya,' will be updated on August 12.

In the special broadcast 'Genshin Impact Behind the Scenes: Towards Snezhnaya, and Towards the Future' on the official YouTube channel, the development team discussed the world-building process, gameplay direction, and future vision for 'Genshin Impact,' while also unveiling major updates centered on the new region, 'Snezhnaya.'

'Snezhnaya' is a key region based on the concept of a land of ice, where the narrative threads accumulated since version 1.0 will converge.

In particular, the secrets surrounding the six Gnosis revealed so far and the true intentions of the Tsaritsa will be fully unveiled, marking a turning point in the story.

The update will also introduce new musical styles inspired by Slavic folk music and classical symphonies, along with cultural elements such as train-based transportation.

Additionally, the game will introduce new combat and interaction mechanics that utilize the 'sealing' power of the Cryo element within the open world.

Overall graphical fidelity will also be improved, including enhanced character visuals and tighter integration between gameplay and cinematic sequences.
