Red Bull League of Its Own 2025 Recap: Massive Kills, Major Upsets, and a Record Crowd

Red Bull’s one-of-a-kind invitational, Red Bull League of Its Own, wrapped up in Munich this weekend with a packed crowd and a full slate of high-octane League of Legends showmatches. Held at the newly opened SAP Garden, the third edition of the event brought together a mix of global heavyweights and European fan favorites, including T1, G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, NNO Old, and Los Ratones.

The single-day tournament featured a series of best-of-one matches, giving teams little room for error and keeping the pace fast. G2 Esports opened the event with a decisive victory that set the tone for their run, while Karmine Corp secured a strong win over Los Ratones in the second match. G2 later defeated Karmine Corp to clinch the European title match slot, reinforcing their status as the region’s dominant force.

A Day of High-Impact Highlights

One of the most talked-about moments came when G2 faced reigning world champions T1. Steven “Hans Sama” Liv delivered a standout 18-kill performance, leading G2 to a 45–16 rout in one of the day’s most lopsided scorelines. T1 bounced back in their next match, with Faker guiding the team to a tight win over NNO Old through a series of trademark mid-lane outplays.

The event closed with a high-energy rematch between T1 and Los Ratones—last year’s surprise headline moment—and the teams delivered again. The 28-minute clash produced 81 total kills, with Los Ratones ultimately overpowering T1 for the second consecutive year.

Red Bull complemented the competition with a packed fan experience, including MSI’s return with its MSI Gaming Arena, Sony INZONE serving as the event’s headset partner, and Herman Miller Gaming providing official chairs. On-stage, veteran host Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere kept the show moving, guiding fans through each matchup and spotlighting standout plays.

With more than 11,500 attendees filling SAP Garden and many more watching online, this year’s Red Bull League of Its Own underscored its reputation as one of the most unique and entertainment-focused events on the annual League of Legends calendar. Red Bull has not yet revealed plans for the next edition, but fan excitement following the Munich showcase suggests demand remains high.
