Nintendo neither confirms nor denies Rayman as Smash Ultimate DLC in response to fan

Nintendo has responded to a fan who requested Rayman be the next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter.

Back in December, a teenage Smash fan was assigned to write a letter for homework. They chose to write to Nintendo about the reasons Rayman should be a Smash fighter. Many other fans of the fighting game have crossed their fingers for Rayman as well.

To everyone's surprise, Nintendo sent a letter back to the Smash fan. This was definitely a shocking update since Nintendo usually doesn't even address rumors and fan theories on social media.

In the letter, a Nintendo representative told the fan that she would send the suggestion to other departments so they could also see their suggestion of making Rayman the next Smash fighter. The letter also told the fan that Nintendo is currently working on "developing new and exciting game ideas."

Of course, Nintendo never confirmed or denied that Rayman would be a fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. But the fan did receive some cute bookmarks and other goodies.

While all of the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighters have most likely already been under development for a while, the letter still warmed the hearts of the Smash community on Twitter. Others recalled sending in similar letters and receiving cool gifts from Nintendo as well. One person even noted that they asked for Pac-Man back in the Brawl days.

"Congrats you got your dude back in Sm4sh!" the fan responded.

Even though there's no proof that the fan had anything to do with Pac-Man being in Smash 4, this could possibly be another letter that coincidentally leads to the next Smash DLC fighter. Rayman has been a popular choice for years, with fans often mentioning Rayman along with Sora, Master Chief, and Crash Bandicoot as their top choices.
